Logy ist leider
auf obigem Bild nicht abgebildet. Das obige Portrait des Malers
David Hoyer stammt von Johann (Jan) Kupetzky, (1667 - 1740),
der auch Logy gemalt hat, so weit mir bekannt.

by Johann (Jan) Kuptetzky (1667 - 1740), showing the painter
David Hoyer. Kupetzky also painted a portrait of Count Logy,
as far as I know.
"He played
the lute as well as one who makes a profession of it, in a nice,
full-voiced mostly broken French style, complete and learned,
since he had mastered the fundamentals of composition. This
commonly happened in the mornings for some hours in his bed,
where he sat playing a small lute, which I often had the honour
to hear. If he had an idea that particularly appealed to him,
he wrote it down immediately and locked it up afterwards in
a box especially kept for this purpose" (Kapellmeister
Stölzel after a visit in Prague).
Kaum eine Gitarrenschülerin/ein
Gitarrenschüler wird wohl beim Unterricht an der "Partia
a-moll" vorbei gekommen sein. Meistens wohl zu früh
mit diesem Kleinod konfrontiert, werden viele "den Logy"
abgehakt haben. Schade `drum, denn das musikalische Universum
des Grafen Losy, einem begabten "Dilettanten", zu
ergründen, ist wirklich lohnenswert.
Die von Albert
Reyerman herausgegebene Zusammenstellung der Logy-Stücke
aus der Goess-Sammlung (TREE-Edition) hat mich inspiriert, meinen
eigenen Bestand zu sichten und Rück-Übertragungen
vorzunehmen. Und es sieht so aus, als ob ein Großteil
dieser Musik ursprünglich auch für die Barocklaute
gesetzt war.

edited music composed by Count Logy as a selection of the Goess-collection
(TREE-Edition). This wonderful edition was the kick to transcribe
guitar music of Logy from staff notation to french tablature
for the Baroque lute. And it looks like a lot of music has been
written for the lute and being transcribed for the guitar later.
